No Snowflake Fitness Program Monday

Due to the holiday, the Western Greenwich Civic Center is closed on Monday, February 16 so we will not be holding our Snowflake Fitness Program on Monday. Monday only athletes may attend Thursday’s session and we are extending our program two additional Mondays.

No Snowflake Fitness Program Tonight (2/2/15)

We hope everyone is safe and warm!

Due to the forecast for icing and hazardous travel, the Greenwich Track Club will not run our Snowflake Fitness Program tonight. We will make every effort to offer make up sessions. Monday only participants may attend Thursday’s session to make up for today’s cancellation. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety and well-being of our members is our top priority.

No Snowflake Fitness Program Tonight

Snowflake Fitness
Youth Conditioning Program (Grades K-8)

Monday / Thursday 5:00-6:00pm

Western Greenwich Civic Center

January 5 – February 26 2014

The Greenwich Track Club is excited to be holding the Annual Snowflake Fitness Program beginning on January 5th, 2015.

The program is an innovative and exciting youth fitness program, open to all youth in grades K-8.  It will be fun, but with a focus on improving your child’s overall fitness level. Winter provides the perfect opportunity to gain an edge for all sports seasons, or to maintain fitness levels over the long winter months.  Some of the benefits of this program are:-  improve cardio-respiratory fitness
–  build self-esteem and confidence
–  improve endurance, agility, balance, and core strength
–  injury prevention
–  enhance performance in all sportsThe program will be run by professional personal trainers and coaches with in depth knowledge of developing and monitoring fitness programs for all ages.  Coaches may change based on enrollment, but will include:

Bill Bogardus is the Director and Head Coach of the GTC, as well as a Level 1 Certified USA Track & Field Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. In addition to teaching Physical Education in the Greenwich Public Schools for over 14 years, he was the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Greenwich High School Wrestling Team. Bill strives to instill the values and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle into his students and athletes. His philosophy is not about winning and losing, but rather participating with full effort and having fun.

Dave Bruni has been coaching with the GTC since Spring 2012.  Before joining the GTC, he was the Head Freshman Football Coach at Greenwich High School since 2004.  Dave is a Physical Education Teacher in Greenwich, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer.  He brings his experience of coaching, and his enthusiasm and love of sport, to enhance the Snowflake Fitness program.  Dave excels in encouraging and motivating every athlete, no matter what their ability, to reach his/her potential.

The program details are as follows:Days & Times:  Mondays and Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm.

Duration: January 5th – February 26th

Location:  Western Greenwich Civic Center, 449 Pemberwick Rd, Greenwich.

Fees:  $430 (this includes the GTC $30 annual membership fee).

Registration: Will be held before the start of the program on January 5th.  All registration forms are available at to download.

Other:  Unfortunately we cannot offer trial sessions, however, a discounted rate for one day per week attendance is available. Payment is required in full at registration.

Registration for the Annual Kids Triathlon is NOW CLOSED!

Registration is NOW CLOSED for the Greenwich Kids Triathlon!

Congratulations on being registered for the Annual Greenwich Kids Triathlon! The Race Committee has been working long and hard preparing for the event to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

A few reminders:

-All partiicipants must show a valid USA Triathlon Membership

-Packet Pick-Up is Saturday, June 7th @ Green & Tonic in Cos Cob between 11:00-2:00

-All participants must wear a swim cap (Turq will provide one in your race bag)

-All participants must wear a bike helmet

-Registration closes June 1st so now is your final chance to spread the word and encourage your friends to participate

-In the event of inclement weather, please check the website for updates (

-Please arrive at the high school by 7:00am so we can begin on time at 8:00am
